Back in action Sunday Samuel (groin) is listed as active Sunday in Cincinnati. Impact Since Samuel suffered a strained groin near the end of a Week 12 win against the Vikings, he missed one game and managed to log just one practice. Coach Kyle Shanahan told Matt Barrows of The Athletic that Samuel handled everything thrown at him Friday, but the session was half speed, and he went down as a limited participant. After Adam Schefter of ESPN reported this weekend Samuel was slated to return Sunday, he'll do just that. With top running back Elijah Mitchell (concussion/knee) sidelined, it's a decent bet Samuel will be involved out of the backfield as well as his customary role at wide receiver, which amounted to 26 touches for 305 yards from scrimmage and five TDs in three appearances before last Sunday's DNP in Seattle.
