Impact The Broncos had what seemed to be a great matchup for their passing game against a vulnerable Washington secondary, but Sutton -- or any other Denver receiver -- wasn't able to take advantage. It's the third time this season the fourth-year wideout's been held to 40 yards or less, but Sutton may need to be a lot more productive in a Week 9 clash with the Cowboys.

Impact Per George Stoia III of The Denver Gazette, the receiver's ankle was sore late in the game as he saw his first action since Week 1, but Jeudy still led the Broncos in catches. Teddy Bridgewater and the passing game weren't able to take advantage of a plus matchup against Washington, but Jeudy could see bigger volume in Week 9 against the Cowboys.

Impact Despite the return of Jerry Jeudy to the lineup and the continued presence of Courtland Sutton, it was Patrick who led the Broncos in receiving yards. The three targets were a season low for the fourth-year receiver, but all three of Denver's top wideouts may need to step up in Week 9 against the Cowboys.

Melvin Gordon III - Scores twice in win Gordon carried the ball 10 times for 47 yards and a touchdown and caught all three of his targets for 15 yards and a second TD in Sunday's 17-10 win over Washington.
Impact The former Charger once again split the backfield workload fairly evenly with rookie Javonte Williams, but Gordon was the one to cash in when Denver got into the red zone, catching a 15-yard TD pass late in the second quarter and running it in from seven yards out for what proved to be the winning score early in the fourth. Gordon hasn't topped 81 scrimmage yards in a game since Week 1, but he has five total touchdowns (three rushing, two receiving) on the season heading into a Week 9 clash with the Cowboys.

Teddy Bridgewater - Gets job done Sunday Bridgewater completed 19 of 26 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-10 win over Washington.
Impact He also gained one yard on his only carry. Bridgewater's numbers were disappointing given the defense he was facing, but he was efficient and avoided mistakes, with his 15-yard toss to Melvin Gordon late in the second quarter accounting for the game's only passing TD. Bridgewater will take a 13:5 TD:INT through eight starts into a Week 9 clash with the Cowboys.
