Nik Bonitto - Impressive in sophomore season Bonitto (calf) recorded 30 tackles (23 solo), including eight sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble over 15 contests during the 2023 campaign.
Impact Bonitto took a major step forward in his second season, recording the second-highest sack total (8) among Broncos defenders after recording just 1.5 sacks as a rookie. The 24-year-old linebacker also led Denver with 13 tackles for loss. Bonitto has proven to be a solid member of the Broncos improving defense and will look to continue to be a difference maker with the team as he is under contract through the 2025 season. The former second-round selection should continue to see his role grow in Denver in 2024.

Pat Surtain II - Tallies 69 tackles in third season Surtain made 69 tackles (59 solo) to go with 12 passes defended and one interception while playing in all 17 games across the 2023 season.
Impact Surtain's 69 total tackles were a career-high for the third-year cornerback. In addition, he led the team in passes defended for the second straight season. Surtain has proven to be one of the league's best defensive backs, and he'll enter the final year of his rookie contract next season in Denver before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2025. The 23-year-old will look ahead to 2024 in the hopes to continue the impressive start to his young career as a difference maker in Denver.

Josey Jewell - Posts 108 stops over 16 games Jewell recorded 108 tackles (60 solo), including three sacks, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries over 16 contests during the 2023 campaign.
Impact Jewell finished his sixth season in Denver with the second-most tackles behind Alex Singleton. The veteran linebacker's three sacks and three fumble recoveries were both career-highs for each category. Jewell is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and the Broncos may be compelled to re-sign him ahead of the 2024 campaign based on his consistent production. The 29-year-old will look to pick up where he left off as a strong IDP option next season.

Impact Lutz had a bounce-back year in 2023, making 88 percent of his field goals after connecting on 74 percent of his attempts in 2022 with the Saints. The veteran kicker's reunion with head coach Sean Payton proved to be a positive for the 29-year-old. Lutz showed progress on long kicks, improving his success rate from 57 percent to 70 percent on kicks of 40 yards or more. He'll head into the offseason as a free agent, although Denver could choose to re-sign him after an impressive 2023 campaign.

Adam Trautman - Concludes first season in Denver Trautman finished the 2023 season with 22 receptions on 35 targets for 204 yards and three touchdowns.
Impact Trautman operated as Denver's No. 1 tight end in 2023, likely benefitting from fellow tight end Greg Dulcich (foot) landing on injured reserve for most of the season. The veteran Trautman produced modest numbers throughout the season, though his three touchdowns were tied with wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey for the third-most scores among all Broncos pass catchers. The 26-year-old will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and it remains to be seen if Denver will make him an offer to stay with the team.

Brandon Johnson - Finishes second season in Denver Johnson played in 13 games during the 2023 campaign, finishing with 19 receptions on 30 targets for 284 yards and four touchdowns.
Impact Johnson played in a depth role in the Broncos' wide receiver corps, limiting his opportunities throughout the season. Despite this fact, the wideout's four touchdowns were good for the second-highest total among all pass catchers in Denver. Johnson is under contract through the 2024 season before becoming a restricted free agent in 2025. Heading into next season, Johnson may find it difficult to find the field consistently again if fellow receivers Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims remain on the roster.
