Jermar Jefferson - Hurts ankle Sunday Jefferson injured his ankle during Sunday's game at Pittsburgh. Impact Jefferson was off to a nice start before his departure in the first half, taking three carries for 41 yards and one touchdown. After the 28-yard score, though, Lions trainers checked out his left ankle, and the rookie seventh-rounder needed a cart to get off the field, per Chris Burke of The Athletic. A declaration of questionable to return was announced not long afterward, so the Lions will operate with D'Andre Swift and Godwin Igwebuike out of the backfield as long as Jefferson is sidelined with Jamaal Williams (thigh) out for a second consecutive contest.
