D'Andre Swift - Held in check Swift carried 12 times for 27 yards while fumbling once and securing five of five targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 44-6 loss to Philadelphia. Impact With Jamaal Williams (groin) sidelined, Swift commanded over 90 percent of the snaps at running back until Detroit finally gave up in the fourth quarter. Despite the massive workload, Swift was unable to overcome the general deficiencies of a Lions offense that didn't put up any points until backup running back Jermar Jefferson found the end zone in the final minutes of regulation. It didn't help that, earlier in the game, Swift lost a fumble that was ultimately returned by the Eagles for a touchdown. However, despite the disappointing performance, there's no questioning the fact that Swift and tight end T.J. Hockenson are the focal points of the offense. The running back should have a solid chance at a rebound performance against Pittsburgh in Week 10 even if Williams returns to the field by then.
