Sidelined by groin strain Coach Dave Canales said Johnson missed Wednesday's practice with a "mild groin strain," Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact It's the first report of Johnson missing practice since the Panthers traded for him in March, with Carolina beat writers otherwise reporting that the 28-year-old has seen a steady flow of targets from QB Bryce Young. Canales downplayed the severity of the groin istrain, but it's probably safe to assume Johnson will miss Saturday's preseason game against the Jets.
