Impact Wicks would have had a better day had he hauled in a pass from quarterback Jordan Love in the end zone during the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, but when it was all said and done he was shut out in the receptions department for the third time in nine games. Wicks has found paydirt four times this season, but he has totaled just 16 catches and all of Green Bay's receivers are healthy, so it could be worth making a roster move with the Packers on bye in Week 10.

Impact Wicks found the end zone for the fourth time this season his last time out, but he did not do much for fantasy players that included him in Week 8 lineups. Wicks remain capable of producing when given the opportunity, but he has had fewer of those of late, as since injuring his shoulder in Week 6 his snap count has taken a noticeable hit. Wicks could get back on track in Week 9 against a Lions team that has allowed opposing wideouts to rack up a league-high 124 receptions, but his prospects will take a hit if starting quarterback Jordan Love (groin) is unable to go.

Now that he's active, Wicks likely will remain Green Bay's fourth option at wide receiver with all of Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs suiting up.

However, Wicks has bucked that report and so far has managed two capped practices this week. In the end, Friday's injury report will unveil whether or not he enters the weekend with a designation for Sunday's matchup with the Texans.

Impact The lack of efficiency aside, there were plenty of reasons for fantasy managers to draw encouragement from Wicks' performance after the second-year wideout was blanked in two of his first three games. Wicks not only led the Packers in targets, but all three components of his receiving line were season highs. Additionally, Wicks scored his second and third touchdowns of the campaign on six- and 17-yard scoring grabs in the fourth quarter, helping key a comeback that was nearly successful. Although there will always be plenty of competition for Jordan Love's attention, Wicks holds plenty of appeal heading into a Week 5 road matchup against a vulnerable Rams secondary that Christian Watson (ankle) could miss.
