Impact Perry was added to the Jaguars' practice squad Wednesday after he was unsuccessful in making the 53-man roster as the third quarterback behind Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones. Perry will look to catch onto a practice squad elsewhere.

Staying in Jacksonville The Jaguars signed Perry to their practice squad Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Impact The Brown product has spent the majority of his career on Jacksonville's practice squad since entering the league in 2022, and he'll remain there ahead of the 2024 season. Perry has yet to appear in an NFL game, and he could be in line to serve as the Jaguars' No. 3 QB behind Trevor Lawrence and Mac Jones.

Impact After being cut by Jacksonville earlier this week, Perry was able to find a new home within the AFC South. He'll try to push for a spot on the 53-man roster spot this offseason, assuming he even makes it to training camp with the Texans. Perry has never attempted an NFL pass since entering the professional ranks last spring.

Back with Jacksonville Perry (hamstring) signed a contract with the Jaguars on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Impact Perry was waived by the Jaguars with a non-football injury designation at the end of July after he suffered a hamstring strain while training for camp. However, he's now returned to the team and will compete for a roster spot. Per Wilson, the undrafted quarterback out of Brown had the highest athletic score during the 2022 NFL Combine.
