Returns from COVID list The Texans have activated Murray from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Murray wasn't able to play in the final two matchups of the regular season because of the league's COVID-19 protocols. While it is unclear whether the safety contracted the virus, he is now able to rejoin the Texans.

Heads to COVID-19 list Murray was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday.
Impact Murray won't play in Sunday's game against the Bengals. This will be his first missed game of the season. Murray's produced a career-high 71 tackles through 14 games to go along with two sacks and two pass breakups. Jonathan Owens and A.J. Moore will cover for him at strong safety in Week 16.

Leads in tackles Murray recorded a team-high 11 tackles and two sacks on blitzes in Sunday's 36-7 loss to the Bears.
Impact This was not the finest hour for the Texans defense, which allowed Mitch Trubisky and the Bears' offense to shred them. The sacks were the first of the season for Murray, who now has a career-high 66 tackles in 13 games.

Records seven tackles Murray had seven tackles in Thursday's 34-20 loss to the Chiefs in Week 1.
Impact Murray is part of a revamped secondary, which was a sore spot in 2019. The unit held up well considering Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes was rarely under pressure. The issues on defense were an inability to stop the running game, limited pressure and missed tackles.
