Back in Minnesota The Vikings re-signed Griffen on Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Impact After spending the first 10 years of his career with Minnesota, Griffen split time between Dallas and Detroit last season, totaling 33 tackles and six sacks in 14 games. The tackle count matched his low for a campaign since 2013, and he only failed to hit six sacks once since that season. Griffen bided his time this offseason and finally reunited with the Vikings on Aug. 23, but he also was among the cuts the team made to get down to 53 players Tuesday. After two days (officially) as a free agent, Griffen finds himself employed and in a rotation of pass rushers with Danielle Hunter, Stephen Weatherly and D.J. Wonnum.
