Jaire Alexander - Not expected to play Christmas Day Coach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that he wouldn't anticipate Alexander (shoulder) playing against the Browns on Saturday, Stacey Dales of NFL Network reports. Impact Alexander was designated to return from IR on Dec. 8 after leaving Week 4 early due to an AC joint injury. Despite optimism that the star cornerback would be able to return in both Week 14 and Week 15, the 24-year-old has remained sidelined. Alexander doesn't have to be activated off IR this week, but his 21-day window is inching closer, which elevates the concern that he may be shut down for the rest of the season. However, if he isn't ready to return when his three-week period is up, the more likely situation would be the Packers adding Alexander to the active roster but keeping him inactive on game days, like they have down with All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari.
