Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Limited by back issue Valdes-Scantling was listed as limited participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report due to a back injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Valdes-Scantling has been a hit-or-miss performer in his eight appearances this season, turning in two outings of more than 50 yards plus one touchdown, while falling short of those thresholds in every other game but one. He and Allen Lazard are the co-No. 2 wide receivers behind top dog Davante Adams, but Valdes-Scantling's status now is one to monitor as Sunday's game in Baltimore approaches.

Impact The cap on Jones' reps to begin Week 15 prep likely is related to the sprained right MCL he sustained back in Week 10 against the Seahawks. He missed one game as a result of the injury, and in two appearances since then he's combined for 18 touches for 88 yards from scrimmage and two TDs. Fellow running back AJ Dillon received for more work over those two contests to the tune of 40 touches for 161 total yards and one receiving score. Assuming Jones is able to continue playing through the issue, he may take a back seat to Dillon until he's closer to 100 percent.
