INJURIES

Fills special-teams role in return Haskins (hamstring) played all 21 of his snaps on special teams in Monday's 22-19 overtime win over the Eagles.
Impact Haskins was one of two running backs the Chargers welcomed back from injured reserve for Week 14, as Omarion Hampton (ankle) was also activated prior to Monday's game. Before going down with the hamstring issue, Haskins had been seeing work behind Hampton as a short-yardage back, but Haskins' role on offense evaporated in his return. The Chargers split the backfield work between Hampton and Kimani Vidal, the latter of whom had been serving as Los Angeles' lead back while Hampton was sidelined over the previous seven games.

Officially active for MNF Haskins (hamstring) is active for Monday night's game against the Eagles, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Impact Haskins and rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) were both activated from injured reserve earlier Monday, and both will join Kimani Vidal on the active roster for Week 14. In the seven regular-season games prior to his hamstring injury, Haskins turned 12 carries into 30 yards, caught four passes (on as many targets) for 13 yards and 141 kickoff return yards on six attempts.
6 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Activated from IR The Chargers officially activated Haskins (hamstring) from injured reserve ahead of Monday night's game against the Eagles.
Impact Haskins is thus on track to be available for his first game action since Week 7. Also in line to return to the Chargers' backfield Monday is Omarion Hampton (ankle), who was activated off IR by the team as well. With Kimani Vidal -- who has been the team's RB1 in Hampton's absence -- still in the mix, Haskins is in line to play a depth role versus Philadelphia.
6 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Monday Haskins (hamstring) is questionable for Monday night's game versus the Eagles, but he remains on injured reserve.
Impact Haskins was a full participant in his second practice back since being placed on injured reserve in Week 8. It's still unclear if the 26-year-old will be activated for the Chargers' Week 14 game, but if he is, the team could be getting two additions to the backfield against the Eagles as 2025 first-round pick Omarion Hampton's return is trending in a positive direction, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. Should Hampton be activated off injured reserve, he will likely take a majority of the RB reps. It's yet to be known what Haskin's role would be as Kimani Vidal is also healthy.
DECEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Full participant Friday Haskins (hamstring) was a full participant in Friday's practice.
Impact Haskins upgrades to a full participant in just his second practice back from his stint on the injured reserve. It is unclear if the Chargers will want to remove the running back from the injured reserve ahead of Monday's game against the Eagles, but an upgrade in practice participation is a great sign for the 26-year-old's health.
DECEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Officially returns to practice Haskins (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official website reports.
Impact Haskins made his official return to practice after the team designated him to return from injured reserve Wednesday. The running back has been sidelined since the beginning of November while recovering from a hamstring injury, and the team will have three weeks to add him to the active roster.
DECEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Back to practice Haskins (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact This opened a 21-day window for Haskins to practice, and he can be activated at any time. The fourth-year running back practiced with the team Wednesday and could return to game action as soon as Sunday versus the Eagles. Once he returns to action, he's unlikely to have much of a role on offense because Omarion Hampton (ankle) is nearing a return and Kimani Vidal should serve as the No. 2 back.

NOVEMBER 1 • CHARGERS.COM
Lands on injured reserve The Chargers placed Haskins (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday.
Impact Haskins was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans due to a hamstring injury that he sustained during the Chargers' Week 7 loss to the Colts. The injury is severe enough for the fourth-year pro to warrant a stint on injured reserve, which will force him to miss at least the next four games, making Week 14 against the Eagles on Monday, Dec. 8 the earliest he can be activated from IR. Kimani Vidal will be the Chargers' clear RB1 moving forward with Haskins joining fellow running backs Omarion Hampton (ankle) and Najee Harris (Achilles) on injured reserve. The Chargers elevated Jaret Patterson and Amar Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster to provide backfield depth behind Vidal for Week 9.
NOVEMBER 1 • ROTOWIRE
Not playing in Week 9 Haskins (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Tennessee.
Impact Haskins hasn't been able to practice since he injured his hamstring during a Week 7 loss to the Colts and will miss a second consecutive contest as a result. The Chargers currently have only one healthy running back (Kimani Vidal) on the active roster with Omarion Hampton (ankle) still on injured reserve, so the team will need to bring up reinforcements from the practice squad, where Jaret Patterson, Amar Johnson and Trayveon Williams currently reside, to round out the backfield this weekend.
OCTOBER 31 • ROTOWIRE
Still not practicing Haskins (hamstring) isn't practicing Thursday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
Impact That's now five straight missed practices for Haskins since he hurt his hamstring against the Colts in Week 7. His status for Sunday's matchup versus Tennessee is in considerable peril, and whether he even has a chance to suit up in that game should be known upon the submission of Friday's final injury report. Kimani Vidal should continue to lead the Chargers' running-back corps regardless of whether Haskins is able to suit up, but another absence by the latter would likely result in Jaret Patterson being elevated from the practice squad again for the contest against the Titans.
OCTOBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Remains sidelined Wednesday Haskins (hamstring) is not practicing Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact Haskins wasn't able to suit up for Los Angeles' win over the Vikings on Thursday Night Football in Week 8, and it looks like his status remains up-in-the-air heading into a road matchup against the Titans on Sunday. If Haskins remains sidelined versus Tennessee, Jaret Patterson will stand to be elevated from the practice squad again and work as the No. 2 backfield option behind lead back Kimani Vidal.

OCTOBER 23 • THENEWSTRIBUNE.COM
Ruled out for TNF Haskins (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Vikings, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Impact Haskins will not be available Week 8, paving the way for Kimani Vidal to once again operate as Los Angeles' clear lead back with Omarion Hampton (ankle) still on IR. With Haskins sidelined, expect one or both of Nyheim Hines and Trayveon Williams to be elevated from the practice squad to provide the Chargers some additional backfield depth.
OCTOBER 22 • ROTOWIRE
Doesn't practice Tuesday Haskins (hamstring) was a non-participant in practice Tuesday.
Impact Haskins was also deemed a non-participant Monday, though that was an estimation, as the Chargers didn't hold a full practice that day. Head coach Jim Harbaugh said ahead of Tuesday's practice that Haskins isn't expected to play Thursday versus Minnesota, and the running back's lack of practice participation seems to validate that statement. Kimani Vidal is expected to lead Los Angeles' backfield Thursday while Nyheim Hines will likely be elevated from the practice squad to play on gameday for the third straight week.
OCTOBER 22 • ROTOWIRE
Unlikely to play vs. Minnesota Head coach Jim Harbaugh relayed Tuesday that Haskins (hamstring) is doubtful to play against the Vikings on Thursday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact Haskins saw just three touches compared to Kimani Vidal's 13 during Sunday's loss to the Colts, and the former came out of that contest with a hamstring injury. The Chargers will likely elevate Nyheim Hines from the practice squad to the active roster for a third consecutive game, and he could see some backfield snaps behind Vidal in addition to his work as a kick returner if Haskins is indeed ruled out for Week 8.
OCTOBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Estimated as DNP on Monday Haskins (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate.
Impact Haskins suited up for Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Colts despite initially being listed as questionable for the game due to a chest injury, and he's now emerged from the contest managing a hamstring issue. Kimani Vidal logged 13 touches on offense versus three for Haskins against Indianapolis, but neither back got much done in an unusual matchup that saw Justin Herbert log a season-high 55 pass attempts. If Haskins is unable to get healthy on a short week in time to suit up for Thursday Night Football against the Vikings, expect Nyheim Hines to be elevated from the practice squad as the No. 2 option behind Vidal.

OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Active Sunday Haskins (chest) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Impact Haskins was an addition to the Chargers' injury report Thursday but was listed as a full participant at that day's practice. Though the running back followed that up with a full session Friday, he was still deemed questionable for Sunday's contest. With his active status confirmed, Haskins -- who had six carries and a catch in last week's win over Miami -- is available to work behind Kimani Vidal (who was the team's starter versus the Dolphins, while recording 18 carries, three catches and a TD), with practice squad elevation Nyheim Hines also on hand.

Questionable after full practice Haskins (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts after practicing fully Friday.
Impact Haskins -- who logged six carries and a catch in Week 6's win over Miami -- popped up on the Chargers' injury report Thursday, but was listed as a full participant in that day's practice. With the running back now listed as questionable after another full session a day later, Haskins' status is worth tracking ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. If he's limited or sidelined versus Indianapolis, added touches would be available for Kimani Vidal (who was the team's starter versus the Dolphins, en route to logging 18 carries and three catches). Meanwhile, Nyheim Hines and Amar Johnson are possible practice squad elevations ahead of Week 7 action.

OCTOBER 14 • SI.COM
Hardly used despite workload bump Haskins carried the ball six times for 14 yards and caught his only target for nine yards in Sunday's 29-27 win over the Dolphins.
Impact Haskins was supposed to be part of a committee with Kimani Vidal replacing the injured Omarion Hampton (IR, ankle), but Vidal quickly proved to be the far more explosive back and ran away with the workload in the second half, finishing with 124 rushing yards and 14 receiving yards plus a touchdown. That's about as definitive of a difference as one could envision and likely means Haskins, who has primarily been a special-teams player during his time with the Chargers, could get squeezed out of platoon work after Vidal's amazing efforts. It's worth noting Miami's run defense is one of the worst in the league, and the Chargers could lean on the bruising Michigan product in short-yardage situations in future weeks.

Candidate to lead backfield Sunday Mike Garafolo of NFL Network indicates that Haskins is expected to lead the Chargers' backfield Sunday against the Dolphins, with Kimani Vidal also slated to mix in, per Ian Rapop...
Impact That said, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com relayed Thursday that offensive coordinator Greg Roman didn't identify a lead back for the Chargers in Week 6 in the wake of Omarion Hampton (ankle) landing on IR, with Roman noting of the duo, "they're gonna be big factors in the game, how it's gonna unfold from step count standpoint...can go a bunch of different ways in that regard." Considering that, even if Haskins draws the start, both backs should contribute versus Miami -- with Nyheim Hines in reserve -- as the team adjusts to being without Hampton for at least four weeks, with Garafolo suggesting that the RB's absence could extend beyond that time-frame. Meanwhile, Garafolo indicates that it's possible the Chargers add backfield depth ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Either way, Haskins and Vidal both represent lineup options for those who had been leaning on Hampton, or are otherwise looking for RB help this week.
