Rejoins Dolphins' practice squad Miami signed Rucci to its practice squad Wednesday.

Impact The Dolphins just cut Rucci from their practice squad three weeks ago, but they've now opted to bring him back aboard ahead of Week 11. After Tanner Conner (knee) was sent to injured reserve Wednesday, it makes some sense for Miami to explore depth options at tight end.

Impact In a corresponding move, the team signed C.J. Beathard and Tarik Black to their practice Squad. Rucci will now look for another opportunity with a different team.

Sticks around in Magic City The Dolphins signed Rucci to the practice squad Thursday.

Impact Rucci signed with Miami in May as an undrafted free agent. The Wisconsin product entered training camp competing for a depth spot at tight end, but he was ultimately omitted from the 53-man roster. Rucci had a strong finish to the preseason, catching five passes (on six targets) for 44 yards and one touchdown against the Buccaneers on Friday. He'll stick around on the Dolphins' taxi squad and stay ready for a promotion to the active roster.

Impact Rucci made a positive impression with Miami this offseason, but the undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin was always facing an uphill battle to secure a spot on the initial 53-man roster. He'll be a candidate to resurface on the Dolphins' practice squad and continue his development as a blocker.
