Impact Hollman was unlikely to make Green Bay's final 53-man roster and has been given a fresh start in Houston. He will compete with Tavierre Thomas and Tremon Smith for a depth role at cornerback this season.

Charles Omenihu - Helps himself preseason Week 2 Omenihu recorded two sacks and recovered a fumble in Saturday's 20-14 win over the Cowboys in preseason Week 2, Aaron Reiss of The Athletic reports.
Impact Omenihu was in position on the Cowboys' first series, falling on a fumble created by Jacob Martin which led to Houston's only offensive touchdown. He later beat a tight end off the edge for a sack, then logged another after a stunt for inside rush. With positions up for grabs along Houston's new four-man front, Omenihu is a riser heading into the final preseason Saturday against the Buccaneers. Omenihu has been playing end on early downs, then moving inside on obvious passing downs to get quicker bodies on the edge.

Impact The Texans held Collins out of this past Saturday's preseason game at Dallas as a precautionary measure as he tended to a "muscle pull," per Drew Dougherty of the team's official site. Coach David Culley said during postgame media availability that Collins could have played, and the fact the rookie third-round pick was back on the field Monday indicates the lack of severity of the injury. Collins will look to make his presence felt again in Saturday's exhibition finale against the Buccaneers.

Impact Erickson moved up the depth chart behind Keke Coutee for the game because Anthony Miller (shoulder) was unavailable. Miller's injury timeline is expected to run through the preseason with hope that he can play the season opener at home against Jacksonville. Deshaun Watson - May be weekly scratch this season Watson could spend the 2021 season on "the Texans' 53-man roster as a healthy scratch each week," Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Impact As Barshop mentioned, the NFL hasn't put any restrictions on Watson during training camp as the investigation proceeds with regard to his legal situation. And the league also may not place Watson on the commissioner's exempt list before the regular season. With his activity during camp practices few and far between to date and no snaps through two preseason games -- mostly due to ankle and calf injuries -- he's fallen behind in the QB pecking order in Houston, where he resides fourth on the depth chart behind expected starter Tyrod Taylor, Jeff Driskel and 2021 third-round pick Davis Mills. Clearly, the Texans aren't forced to make a decision on Watson for a few weeks, but weekly DNPs this fall could be in the cards.

Rex Burkhead - Makes preseason debut Burkhead had one carry for four yards and caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Saturday's 20-14 win over the Cowboys in preseason Week 2.
Impact Burkhead made his preseason debut after dressing for the opener but not making it onto the field. All four of Houston's running backs saw action Saturday, and the Cowboys snuffed it out the Texans' ground game, which averaged 3.2 yards per carry. There is no more clarity on how Texans head coach David Culley plans to divvy up the carries among the position group, the pecking order or which one (if any) will not make the roster. What appears to be clear after two preseason weeks is that David Johnson will play on passing downs and that Mark Ingram will have a spot.

Davis Mills - Leads six drives, one scoring Mills went 10-for-16 passing for 115 yards in Saturday's 20-14 win over Dallas in preseason Week 2.
Impact Mills was under center for six drives between the second and fourth quarters, one of which resulted in points. The rookie quarterback engineered a drive of 70 yards that ended in a field goal. The Cowboys blitzed often during the game, which led to a sack of Mills and an intentional grounding by the rookie. "What's nice is that it's still preseason," Mills told Aaron Reiss of The Athletic. "Dallas did a really good job disguising some of their looks, but that gives us really good practice for the season - communicating with the line on protection, making sure we're on top of everything." None of Houston's quarterbacks distinguished themselves Saturday. The offense was 0-for-10 on third downs and didn't have a drive longer than 23 yards when the first teamers were on the field.
