Nico Collins - Poised to play Week 11 Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday that Collins (hamstring) will practice this week, and the expectation is that the receiver will play in Monday's game against the Cowboy...
Impact Last Friday, Collins was cleared for his first practice since Week 5, then was listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game versus the Lions. Though he was activated from injured reserve Saturday, Collins was still considered a game-time decision leading up to Sunday, with the Texans ultimately making him inactive ahead of the 26-23 loss. According to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle, Ryans said that Collins didn't suffer a setback with his right hamstring injury upon practicing in a limited fashion Friday, as the Texans seemingly wanted him to get in some more reps during the upcoming week before clearing him for a return to game action. Assuming Collins practices Thursday through Saturday without issue, he'll likely approach the Week 11 game in Dallas without a designation and shouldn't face any limitations with his snaps as Houston's No. 1 wideout. Collins led the NFL with 567 receiving yards through the first five weeks of the season before missing the last five games with the injury.

Impact Edwards was suspended Oct. 14 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, but he's since served his time and missed the Texans' last four contests. The veteran defensive lineman recorded 18 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and one pass defended through six appearances before his suspension. He's expected to play in Sunday's matchup against the Cowboys; however, he must still be activated to the Texans' active roster in order to suit up.

Impact To'oTo'o had one of five Houston interceptions on the night, two of which led to points. The linebacker's interception set up the Texans on the Lions' 36-yard line and led to a 29-yard field goal. It was the first career interception for To'oTo'o, who leads the defense with 56 tackles.

Impact Ward battled a groin injury throughout the practice week after missing four games due to the injury. He made an immediate impact, intercepting a Jared Goff pass on Detroit's first possession to set up Houston at the Lions' 33-yard line, leading to a Joe Mixon touchdown run. The pick was the first of the season the 33-year-old Ward, whose two-year run in Houston has been marred by injuries.

Ka'imi Fairbairn - Rebounds in loss Fairbairn connected on three of four field-goal attempts and nailed both extra-point kicks in Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Lions in Week 10.
Impact Fairbairn, who missed a pair of field-goal tries in a Week 9 loss to Jets, rebounded with an 11-point effort, his seventh double-digit week in 10 games. His lone miss was wide left on a 56-yard attempt late in the game, which gave possession to the Lions near midfield and setup their game-winning field goal with no time left on the clock. Despite the miss, it's hard to pin this loss on Fairbairn; all finger pointing should be directed at the defense and offense. Houston owned a 23-7 halftime lead but failed to build on that lead and allowed Detroit to score on its final three possessions.

Steven Sims - Special teams contributor in loss Sims returned three punts for 43 yards in Sunday's 26-23 loss to Detroit in Week 10.
Impact Sims served as Houston's primary return specialist for the second consecutive week, although he never had a chance to return a kickoff. He played two snaps as a receiver and has lined up on offense just 10 times in 2024. With Nico Collins (IR, hamstring) on the verge of returning, likely in Week 11, Sims' spot on the gameday roster may be in jeopardy.

Impact Stover had a multiple targets, including his first in the red zone, for a third consecutive week. Dalton Schultz remains the primary target at tight end, but Stover is enjoying increased attention due to injuries at wideout. The rookie tight end has eight receptions on 13 targets for 87 yards through 10 games.

Xavier Hutchinson - Season-high four targets Hutchinson caught two of four targets for six yards in Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Lions in Week 10.
Impact The targets were a season high for Hutchinson, who topped the team's wideouts with 57 snaps. It was the second consecutive week he's paced the group in playing time -- due to injuries to Nico Collins (IR, hamstring) and Stefon Diggs (IR, knee) -- but it hasn't translated into anything useful for fantasy rosters. Hutchinson has two catches on seven targets for six yards in those two games. If anyone has emerged as a threat, it's John Metchie, who has eight catches on 12 targets for 103 yards and one touchdown over the last weeks. Collins is likely to return Week 11, which will put a damper on either Hutchinson or Metchie or both.

Impact Woods, who logged 24 snaps, once again served as the fourth wideout, as younger receivers Xavier Hutchinson (57 snaps), Tank Dell (51) and John Metchie (44) have become the primary targets with Nico Collins (IR, hamstring) and Stefon Diggs (IR, knee) unavailable. Collins, who was designated to return but was inactive Sunday, could return Week 11 against Dallas, which would further bury Woods' on-field presence. Woods has eight catches on 13 targets for 91 yards and no touchdowns over eight games played.

Impact Metchie enjoyed the most productive game of his career and paced the Texans with 74 yards. He was particularly impressive on a possession just before halftime, initially hauling in a deep 25-yard pass before capping the drive with a 15-yard touchdown reception -- the first of his career. While Nico Collins (hamstring) is likely to be back in Week 11 against the Cowboys, Metchie could have the chance to earn a larger role across the second half of the season due to the underwhelming showings from Tank Dell.

Impact Schultz earned fewer than five targets for only the second time since Week 3, which came as a surprise given the absence of Nico Collins (hamstring) and Stefon Diggs (knee). However, Schultz still managed his highest yardage total of the season, primarily thanks to a 32-yard reception early in the third quarter. Though it was a positive performance, Schultz has still managed to top 35 yards in only two games for the campaign.

Tank Dell - Earns nine targets Dell recorded five receptions on nine targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Lions.
Impact Dell had another game as the Texans' top pass-catching option with Nico Collins (hamstring) sidelined for another week. However, Dell failed to convert his opportunity, turning in a long reception of just 13 yards while also recording only one reception across the final two quarters. Overall, his disappointing season continued, as he's been held below 50 receiving yards in six of nine contests.
