Trickery results in TD McKenzie caught his lone target for two yards while also throwing a 12-yard touchdown pass to Josh Allen during Sunday's 32-30 loss to Arizona.
Impact McKenzie took a reverse-right from Allen with 6:30 to go in the first quarter, throwing the ball back across formation to his quarterback for a catch-and-run that resulted in Buffalo's first points of the afternoon. The Georgia product has just one outing with more than 25 receiving yards on the season, but as evidenced Sunday, he serves a notable gadget role within the Bills offense. McKenzie now has three scores in 2020, including TDs in back-to-back games, as Buffalo heads into its Week 11 bye.

Impact The speedster is far down in the pecking order and hasn't even served as a return man since the Bills added Andre Roberts to the fold last season. The Bills are also employing less jet sweeps this year, which was McKenzie's specialty in 2019 -- he's only rushed five times for five yards in 2020 and the team seems more comfortable letting Josh Allen or rookie Zack Moss try to take it in from up close lately. The Bills like keeping McKenzie around, however, even in a minimal mix-it-up role, and he does have two scores this season.

Impact The pass probably traveled about three inches, as McKenzie scored on one of his patented jet sweeps. He's a clear sixth or seventh option in the passing game, though he did see a few extra looks Tuesday with John Brown out due to a knee injury. McKenzie remains a fantasy non-factor even with the occasional score, though we imagine he helped a few Brown owners in need of an emergency pickup Tuesday night due to the latter's late scratch.

Impact McKenzie practiced fully Wednesday, so this seems like something he either tweaked during that session or is something minor enough that he just needs to take it more easy than usual ahead of Sunday's divisional tilt against Miami. The utility player doesn't appear in jeopardy of suiting up this week.

Impact McKenzie is more of a gadget player with a vast toolbox vs. anything that can be used for fantasy value, and in this one he was only on the field for 18 percent of the offensive snaps, compared to 63 percent for No. 3 receiver Cole Beasley and 49 percent for rookie Gabriel Davis. The one bit of good news is that McKenzie was seen out there in some red-zone packages, and at some point the jet-sweeper should see some opportunities in close as opponents start to focus on the effective legs of quarterback Josh Allen.

Impact McKenzie eked out Duke Williams and a few others, his biggest assets being he's a good special teams player and that he can run jet sweeps -- a play the Buffalo offense sometimes uses multiple times in the same game -- as good as just about anyone in the league. That said, his upside is about 30 catches for a team with a pretty talented receiving corps led by Stefon Diggs, John Brown and Cole Beasley.

Davis was considered a nice snag in the fourth round and seems to be impressing the team's coaching staff with his habits, as much as a new player is able to do in a virtual setting. He'll have a good shot at snagging that role while competing with Isaiah McKenzie, Duke Williams, Robert Foster, Hodgins and others, though a full camp around the pandemic issues would certainly benefit the two rookies more than their more experienced teammates.
