Impact Reagor was initially expected to miss much of September after injuring his left shoulder in an Aug. 30 practice, but the rookie first-round pick has progressed far faster than the Eagles anticipated. After following up his limited showing in practice Wednesday with a full workout Thursday, Reagor suddenly looks poised to play in Sunday's season opener at Washington. If he does in fact get the green light to make his debut this weekend, Reagor could still be subjected to a restricted snap count, given how recently removed he is from the shoulder injury. That said, Reagor's availability in any capacity would be a big boon to an Eagles pass-catching corps that will likely be without Alshon Jeffery (foot), who missed his second straight practice Thursday.

Impact Reagor has been labeled week-to-week due to the shoulder injury he sustained in late August, but the Eagles have thus far resisted ruling him out for Sunday's season opener at Washington. To that end, it was very encouraging to see the rookie first-round pick take part in Wednesday's padded practice in some fashion. As Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com notes, Reagor's return to practice at least leaves the door open for him to possibly take the field this weekend. Of course, the Eagles could also choose to take a cautious approach to Reagor's recovery and hold the rookie out for at least one game if there's any lingering concern about his shoulder.

Impact While making a tackle on an intercepted ball at Sunday's practice, Reagor got tangled up and injured himself in the process. According to Geoff Mosher of 97.5 The Fanatic Philadelphia, there's a chance Reagor misses four weeks of action, a prognosis that would wipe out much or most of his first September as a pro. With Alshon Jeffery (foot) expected to start the season on the PUP list, the development leaves DeSean Jackson as the Eagles' unquestioned No. 1 wide receiver for the time being. As such, the likes of J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and John Hightower may be competing for outside snaps until Reagor is healthy.

Impact Pederson said in June that Reagor would start off studying the Z spot behind DeSean Jackson, who is now healthy after missing 13 games last season. But that plan assumes the Eagles have good options for the X and slot roles, which doesn't really appear to be the case with Alshon Jeffery rehabbing from Lisfranc surgery and Marquise Goodwin opting out of the 2020 season. The Eagles may need Reagor in a top-three role out of the gate, and his 4.47 speed in a 206-pound frame hints at inside/outside versatility. The X role probably offers his best shot at immediate fantasy value, as Jackson figures to take most of the Z snaps, while the slot receiver (possibly Greg Ward) will frequently come off the field to make room for No. 2 tight end Dallas Goedert. J.J. Arcega-Whiteside is also expected to compete for the X job, but he'll need to take a big step forward from last year to avoid being left in the dust by Philly's first-round pick.
