Committed to Seattle long term Adams reached an agreement Tuesday with the Seahawks on a contract extension worth $70 million over four years, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Impact There was talk Adams would attempt to reclassify as a linebacker instead of a safety for franchise tag purposes if the two sides were unable to break their stalemate. Instead, Adams appears to have agreed to the terms of the Seahawks' last offer, which included $38 million in guarantees. There may be some language in the contract itself that now made it amenable for Adams to put pen to paper, but either way he's become the highest paid safety in the league. With his future settled, he'll begin fully practicing with the team after being mainly a spectator at training camp until now.
