Slated to miss remainder of season Agnew (hip) is expected to miss the remainder of the season after he was placed on injured reserve Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Impact Agnew showed promise during his first season with the Jaguars, particularly after DJ Chark (ankle) went down. Across 10 games, the 2017 fifth-rounder hauled in 24 of 39 targets for 229 yards and a touchdown while rushing seven times for 111 yards and a touchdown. Agnew will now shift his focus toward preparing for 2022, but he could see less work if Chark is back to full health in time for the start of the season.

Suffers hip injury Agnew picked up a hip injury during Sunday's 30-10 loss to the 49ers.

Impact Agnew caught all three of his targets for 18 yards and had one carry for two yards before going down with the injury. The 26-year-old's participation level at Wednesday's practice should provide an idea of where standing heading into Week 12.

Impact It was a busy afternoon for the versatile Agnew to say the least, with the 26-year-old scoring on a 66-yard touchdown scamper late in the first quarter and seeing a solid amount of targets that went for naught largely due to Trevor Lawrence's accuracy issues. Agnew has seemingly surpassed Laviska Shenault as the Jaguars' jack of all trades, as before Sunday's catch-less effort he'd recorded between three and six catches in four consecutive games. Agnew will remain a solid fantasy option, especially in formats that count return yardage, in a Week 11 battle against the 49ers.

Impact It's a weak box score for Agnew, though it's fair to wonder if there was much he could control in a game where the Jacksonville passing game struggled profoundly against a strong Buffalo defense. Assuming the Jaguars make no personnel changes, Agnew appears poised to serve as Jacksonville's main slot receiver the rest of the year. Whether he can do much with his targets is a separate question, but the targets should be there in some notable capacity.

Scores in garbage time Agnew caught six receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown on 12 targets against Seattle on Sunday.

Impact The garbage time touchdown made Agnew useful for fantasy investors in the 31-7 loss, but six catches for 38 yards on 12 targets is dreadfully inefficient and casts a cloud over the otherwise encouraging target volume. Agnew has been busy in the Jacksonville offense since DJ Chark's season-ending injury, at which point the Jaguars moved Laviska Shenault from the slot to outside, allowing Agnew to take over in the slot. Shenault is a bad fit outside because he lacks the speed to separate on the boundary, and the funnel away from Shenault has been to the benefit of Agnew, who's seen 25 targets in his last three games, catching 17 receptions for 157 yards and one touchdown. Agnew could provide cheap PPR utility going forward if he can maintain that target volume, but if the Jaguars revisit their wideout rotation and move Shenault back into the slot then such a move might come at the expense of Agnew. The Jaguars play Buffalo in Week 9.
