X-Rays negative, MRI next New England's head coach Jerod Mayo said X-Rays on Jackson (knee) came back negative, but he'll get an MRI today, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Impact Jackson suffered a non-contact knee injury in New England's Thursday preseason game against Philadelphia. The X-Rays coming back negative is a positive for the wide receiver, but the MRI results should provide more insight towards the scope of his knee problem.

Impact Jackson linked up with the Falcons earlier in the spring as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers. He'll now have to find a new opportunity if he plans to suit up for an NFL team in 2024.
