Officially let go Bernhardt was waived from the reserve/retired list by the Falcons on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Impact Bernhardt appeared in two games for the Falcons in 2022, and saw nine snaps on offense, but didn't tally any stats. The Ferris State product ultimately finished that campaign on IR after suffering a groin injury, then decided to hang up his cleats in May of 2023. Now a free agent, it's unclear if the 26-year-old may decide try and make a comeback or if he'll remain retired after a short NFL career.

Designated to return from IR Bernhardt (groin) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Impact Bernhardt will now have a shot to return to the field before the end of the season, potentially returning to practice as soon as Wednesday's session. The wide receiver has been out since late October while nursing a groin issue and he's only played nine total offensive snaps on the campaign.

Impact Bernhardt had already been ruled out of Sunday's contest versus Cincinnati, and he'll now be required to miss at least four games while on injured reserve. The rookie receiver has notched just nine offensive snaps over two games this season and has not yet seen a target.
