Won't play vs. Atlanta Reed (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons, Colin Gunther of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Impact Reed opened the season on the reserve/PUP list while in the final stages of his recovery from a torn ACL he suffered in November of 2023. His 21-day practice window opened Monday, and while he was able to finish the week strong with a full practice session Friday, he will not be active for Sunday's game. Given his progression, it wouldn't be surprising if Reed was able to suit up for Week 8 against Buffalo on Oct. 27.

Impact Reed has sat out of the first six games of the season as he's recovered from a torn ACL he suffered last year, but it now appears he could be on track to play again soon. The Seahawks will have 21 days to activate him from their PUP list to their active roster before they'd have to rule him out for the rest of the year.

Impact A sixth-round pick out of New Mexico last year, Reed appeared in 10 games as a rookie, seeing 29 snaps on defense and another 157 on special teams before tearing his ACL in the Week 11 loss to the Rams. His availability for Week 1 of the upcoming season remains in question.

Impact The rookie out of New Mexico was having a great year in Seattle, as he became one of the best special-teamers in the NFL. Reed ranked third in the league in special teams stops thus far, recording 11 total tackles through 10 appearances. Almost all of the 23-year-old's snaps came on special teams (157 of 186 snaps) this year.
