Headed to Windy City The Bears signed Wilson to the practice squad Thursday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Impact Wilson was waived by the Packers following training camp, and he spent some time on the Giants' practice squad before being cut Oct. 2. The 24-year-old tight end has yet to see NFL regular-season action since signing with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent in April of 2023. The move corresponds with tight end Tommy Sweeney (undisclosed) being placed on the Bears' practice squad/injured reserve.

Cut from Big Blue The Giants cut Wilson from the practice squad Tuesday, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.

Impact Wilson signed with the Giants' practice squad Sept. 24 after failing to make the Packers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Should he clear waivers, the 24-year-old will look to catch on with a team in need of tight end depth. Wilson was on the practice squad for Buffalo and Green Bay in 2023.

Impact Wilson takes the spot opened up by the placement of fellow tight end Lawrence Cager (undisclosed) on the practice squad/injured list Tuesday. The Central Michigan product spent much of last season on Green Bay's practice squad.

Impact Wilson signed a reserve/future contract with Green Bay in January and spent part of last season on their practice squad. According to Wood, the Central Michigan product is likely a practice squad candidate for the team once again this season, assuming he clears waivers.
