Impact Box-score watchers would be led to believe Bosa had somewhat of a renaissance after finishing the 2020 season with just 7.5 sacks across 12 games, and while the seven forced fumbles was easily a career high, the turnovers masked what was essentially a boom-or-bust type of season for the premier pass rusher. When Bosa was unable to get the quarterback, too often was the 25-year-old simply out of position on containments, and his 13 missed tackles was a major contributor in the team's ailing run defense. That doesn't even account for his numerous 15-yard penalties, which seemingly always cropped up at the worst time. Make no mistake, Bosa is still easily the team's best defensive player, and 2021 did mark his fourth season with double-digit tackles, but it was hardly a banner year for the perennial Pro Bowler. There could be a number of changes to the team with front-seven teammates Kyzir White, Uchenna Nwosu and Linval Joseph all unrestricted free agents this offseason.
