Rejoins practice squad Lovett signed with the Panthers' practice squad Thursday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Impact Lovett was cut from the Panthers' practice squad Oct. 18, but with Christian McCaffrey traded away and Chuba Hubbard (ankle) currently questionable for Sunday against the Falcons, Lovett will bolster the team's running back depth from the practice squad.

Signs with Panthers The Panthers signed Lovett as an undrafted free agent Thursday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Impact Lovett spent his first three collegiate seasons at Baylor but transferred to Penn State last year. He logged 52 carries for 177 yards while securing nine of 20 targets for 36 yards over eight appearances with the Nittany Lions and will compete for a roster spot with the Panthers during offseason activities.
