Tests positive for COVID-19 Washington placed Allen on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday after he tested positive for the virus, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Impact According to Finlay, Allen is vaccinated, so he'll be eligible to play this upcoming Sunday in Philadelphia if he's asymptomatic for a 48-hour period and turns in two negative COVID-19 tests at least 24 hours apart. Allen has been Washington's top defensive lineman this season, and his potential absence Week 15 would be devastating for a squad that played without its top four defensive ends in the Football Team's Week 14 loss to the Cowboys.

Cleared of injury designation Allen (groin) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's matchup against the Cowboys, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Allen sustained a minor groin injury during Washington's Week 13 win over the Raiders, but he was able to play through the issue and totaled two tackles and half a sack during the victory. However, he did play a season-low 54 percent of the team's defensive snaps, so he may be limited again during Sunday's divisional showdown with the Cowboys.
