Misses final roster The 49ers waived Kirklin on Monday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Impact Kirklin signed with the 49ers earlier in August, but the team has now decided to part ways with the 25-year-old wideout. He has yet to appear in an NFL game after recording four receptions for 49 yards and no touchdowns during his final collegiate season at LSU in 2021.

Joining San Francisco The 49ers signed Kirklin on Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Kirklin most recently spent time with the Saints' practice squad and has yet to appear in an NFL game. The 25-year-old wide receiver out of LSU is expected to compete for a depth role in the 49ers' wide receiver room as the preseason progresses.

Impact Kirklin was initially let from the Saints' practice squad Sept. 12 before rejoining the taxi squad Oct. 11. He did no appear in any game this season and will have the chance to latch onto another practice squad should he clear waivers.
