Impact Similar to last week, Adams will once again find his way onto the active roster as a depth option, only this time behind starter Frank Gore with Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) now on IR. Adams did manage to score late in Week 1 so anything is possible, but it's more likely a combination of Gore, La'Mical Perine (ankle) and Kalen Ballage take most of the workload for New York.

Shuffles back to practice squad Adams reverted to the Jets' practice squad.

Impact Adams played in the Jets' season opener versus the Bills, and with Le'Veon Bell leaving early with a hamstring injury, he got some tread and found the paydirt in garbage time. Bell was placed on IR, but the Jets brought in Kalen Ballage to back up Frank Gore and La'Mical Perine (ankle). If Perine is unavailable for Week 2, however, Adams could elevate to the active roster once again.

Scores garbage time TD Adams rushed twice for eight yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 27-17 loss to Buffalo.

Impact Adams didn't get into the game until garbage time but made the made the most of his opportunity with a two-yard touchdown run to conclude the scoring in the final minute. Le'Veon Bell exited with a hamstring injury, and with La'Mical Perine sidelined by an ankle injury, Adams and Frank Gore are the only healthy running backs left on the Jets' roster. If Bell can't go against the 49ers in Week 2, Adams would likely occupy the lower end of a timeshare with Gore.
