Impact Mauro returns to Arizona after the team waived the defensive end with an injury settlement back in January. Now that he's fully recovered, it appears Mauro will pick up where he left off -- competing for a depth role on the defensive line.

Waived with injury settlement The Cardinals waived Mauro (hamstring) off injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Impact Mauro signed a contract with the Cardinals in October of 2021 and, after three games, he landed on IR with a hamstring injury. Zach Allen likely will continue playing most of the defensive snaps for the Cardinals with Mauro off the team.
