Impact Williams has been dealing with a hamstring issue since mid-August, but it now appears he's fully recovered after being left off the Chiefs' injury report Monday. With the departure of L'Jarius Sneed this past offseason, Williams is projected to play a bigger role in Kansas City's secondary in 2024, starting opposite All-Pro Trent McDuffie.

Impact Williams played 21 snaps (13 on defense, eight on special teams) and recorded one tackle in Saturday's preseason game against Detroit. With Kansas City playing against Chicago on Thursday, it's unlikely that the 2022 fourth-round pick will suit up for the preseason finale. Williams is slated to serve as the second starting cornerback opposite Trent McDuffie.
