Status uncertain for Week 6 Giants head coach Joe Judge said the ankle/foot injury Toney sustained in Sunday's 44-20 loss to the Cowboys isn't "anything significant, in terms of season-ending," but the rookie... Impact Toney was forced out late in Sunday's contest after being ejected for punching Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee, but the wideout still appeared to hurt his leg at some point earlier in the contest, as he was carted to the locker room shortly after he was tossed from the game. He still saw enough field time and took advantage of numerous absences from skill-position players to finish with a 10-189-0 line on 13 targets, while also gaining seven yards on a carry. The breakout performance could motivate the Giants to find ways to get the first-round pick more reps moving forward, but Toney's injury could complicate those plans. He'll likely be a limited participant, at best, when the Giants hold their first Week 6 practice Wednesday.
