Impact Just three days removed from an eventful Week 5 in which he reeled off 189 yards on 10 catches, was ejected for throwing a punch at a Cowboys defender, and needed a cart to leave the field due to an ankle injury, Toney was back on the field at Wednesday's walk-through session. Joining him on the field were Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton, who both logged limited practices after missing the last two games due to hamstring injuries. The status of the trio remains in question for Sunday's contest against the Rams, but top wide receiver Kenny Golladay is expected to miss at least one outing due to a hyperextended knee. Toney could be in store for another elevated workload if he makes it through the week unscathed.

Before picking up the lower leg injury in last week's loss to the Cowboys and getting ejected shortly thereafter, Toney enjoyed a breakout performance, racking up 10 receptions for 189 yards on 13 targets while also taking one carry for seven yards. Toney was afforded some extra touches with running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and top wideout Kenny Golladay (knee) exiting the game in the first half, while fellow wideouts Darius Slayton (hamstring) and Sterling Shepard (hamstring) missed their second straight games. Both Slayton and Shepard could be back for Week 6, but the expected absences of Barkley and Golladay should put Toney on track to maintain a prominent role in the game plan if he's able to move past his own injury concern.
