Not coming off IR this week Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Hunt (calf) won't be activated from injured reserve prior to Sunday's game against the Lions, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports. Impact After spending the requisite three games on IR while recovering from a right calf strain, Hunt was first eligible to practice Week 10, but the Browns didn't clear him to do so. One week later, Hunt still hasn't been deemed ready to practice, making it an easy call for the Browns to rule him out for a fifth consecutive contest. Stefanski hasn't suggested that Hunt has experienced any sort of setback in his recovery, so the 26-year-old may just be trending toward the longer end of his recovery timeline, which Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relayed was 4-to-6 weeks after the running back sustained the injury Oct. 17. With Hunt sidelined and Nick Chubb (illness) having yet to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list after sitting out last week's loss to the Patriots, the Browns will begin Week 11 prep with D'Ernest Johnson as the top healthy back on the 53-man roster.
