Expected to share role With Nick Chubb (knee) returning to practice Monday, Hunt could share the backfield in Week 10 at home against the Texans, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact Chubb could be active for this week's game, which would put a damper on Hunt's role as the team's top running back. He filled in for Chubb the last four games, vaulting to first on the team in carries (115), yards (529) and touchdowns (seven) in the process. He had been angling for a 1,000-yard rushing season, but Chubb will assume the lead back role when he is activated. Hunt could still make an impact in the passing game however, and he currently leads the Browns with four touchdown receptions.

Impact Hunt seemed primed for a big day against the Raiders, having entered the contest with seven total touchdowns since Week 2. In comparison, Las Vegas had surrendered the third-most rushing TDs to opposing RBs (eight) coming into Sunday, but the unit proved capable of holding Cleveland to just two field goals on a constricted 22:17 of offensive possession. The Browns will now be afforded the opportunity to heal up over a Week 9 bye before returning to the field Oct. 15 against Houston's 31st-ranked rush defense. Nick Chubb (knee), meanwhile, seems to have a chance to play Week 10 if he checks out with trainers, as he was given a recovery window of 4-to-6 weeks when he initially went down Oct. 4 against Dallas.

Impact Hunt's five carries for 31 yards represented all of Cleveland's first-quarter offense, as quarterback Baker Mayfield went 0-for-5 with an interception through the air. Mayfield completed 22 of his next 23 passes, however, as the offense flowed primarily through the air with the Browns playing from behind for most of the game. Hunt got in on the fun by catching one of Mayfield's five touchdown passes from eight yards out, giving the versatile running back four receiving scores to go with his three rushing touchdowns this season. With Nick Chubb (knee) still a few weeks away from returning based on his expected recovery timetable, Hunt should continue to work as Cleveland's feature back against the Raiders in Week 8.
