Impact The undrafted rookie quarterback out of BYU failed to make the Colts' initial 53-man roster Tuesday and has since since signed with Houston's practice squad. During Slovis' final collegiate season, he threw for 1,716 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions across eight games.

Let go by Indianapolis The Colts waived Slovis on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Impact Slovis signed with the Colts in April as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He was competing against Sam Ehlinger for the emergency quarterback job behind Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco, and Slovis finished the preseason completing 16 of 22 pass attempts for 149 yards across three outings. Slovis will look to catch on with another team should he clear waivers.
