Impact Dotson will not come off IR this season, an indication that he wasn't able to overcome his lingering ankle injury. Prior to suffering the injury, Dotson started nine games at left guard for Pittsburgh.

Impact Dotson was placed on injured reserve Nov. 20, and after returning to practice Wednesday, will have 21 days to be added to the active roster. The second-year pro started nine games at left guard before suffering the ankle injury, so his return would be a big boost to a Steelers' offense that has failed to score more than 20 points in three of their last four games.
