Washington-Eagles moved to Tuesday Allen (illness) and Washington will no longer play the Eagles on Sunday, after the NFL officially rescheduled the matchup between the two teams for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET. Impact Due to ongoing COVID-19-related issues within Washington's organization, the NFL is hopeful that by delaying the game two days, the Football Team will restore enough players from the reserve/COVID-19 list to alleviate depth concerns on the roster. Even with the delay, top quarterback Taylor Heinicke (illness), who was placed on the list Friday after testing positive for the virus, will face an uphill battle to clear the necessary protocols ahead of Tuesday's game. Allen, meanwhile, should stand a better chance of being ready for Tuesday, after he was placed on the list Wednesday following his positive COVID-19 test. However, if neither Allen nor Heinicke are available to play, Washington will likely turn to the newly-signed Garrett Gilbert or one of its two quarterbacks on the practice squad (Kyle Shurmur and Jordan Ta'amu) to make the Week 15 start.
