Impact Shenault's seven targets ranked second on the team -- only Marvin Jones had more with 11 -- though he was unable to do anything with those looks. The 22-year-old is averaging only 5.2 yards per catch and 2.8 yards per target through the first two games of the season. Shenault was a popular sleeper pick following a strong offseason and training camp, but he hasn't produced much yet for the Jags or fantasy managers.

Impact Shenault was mostly involved in the underneath passing game, with his longest reception coming in at 14 yards. The 22-year-old showed a strong rapport with Trevor Lawrence, though DJ Chark and Marvin Jones clearly were the favorite downfield options for the rookie quarterback. Shenault should be consistently involved in the offense as somewhat of a safety valve, but he may need to rely on YAC in order to deliver significantly more receiving production.

Impact With DJ Chark (finger) and Marvin Jones (shoulder) sitting out the preseason finale, Shenault got plenty of work with Trevor Lawrence and hauled in three straight passes from the rookie QB on the final drive for the first-team offense, culminating in a four-yard TD. That chemistry bodes well for the second-year receiver, but Lawrence spread the ball around during his three series and completed 11 (of 12) passes in total while finding six different receiving options, with five of the completions going to tight ends or running backs. Shenault may end up with more competition for those underneath looks than expected during the regular season.

Impact Shenault played 24 offensive snaps during the first half and saw all his action with rookie Trevor Lawrence leading the offense. The 22-year-old wideout led the Jaguars in both receptions and targets as the rookie quarterback frequently looked for Shenault underneath. He could very well be the safety valve for Lawrence this season given Jacksonville's lack of receiving talent at tight end.

Excellent finish to rookie season Shenault secured six of nine targets for 68 yards and two touchdowns in the Jaguars' 28-14 loss to the Colts on Sunday. He also netted minus-2 yards on his one rush.

Impact With DJ Chark (shin) out for the finale, Shenault took advantage of the expanded opportunity to finish off his rookie season in strong fashion. The 22-year-old was on the receiving end of both of Mike Glennon's scoring throws on the day, and his solid effort Sunday put his final line at 58-600-5 across 14 games. The versatile second-round pick also added 91 rushing yards on 18 carries, and considering he dealt with subpar quarterback play for most of the campaign, his overall performance is very encouraging. Jacksonville projects to select Clemson's Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick next April, a dynamic talent who could team with Shenault under a new head coach to help the latter take a significant step forward in Year 2.

Paces team in receptions Shenault secured five of seven targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' 41-17 loss to the Bears on Sunday.

Impact The rookie was the team leader in catches on the afternoon and recorded his second touchdown of the last four games with an impressive 34-yard scoring grab late in the fourth quarter. While the points came in garbage time, they certainly helped to round out Shenault's fantasy line nicely, and the play also served as the longest of the day through the air for either squad. Shenault now has at least five receptions in three straight games, but he hasn't topped 50 yards since Week 5. He'll look to put an end to that dubious streak in Week 17 against the Colts.

That was the rookie's first trip to the end zone since his NFL debut, but Shenault showed off the versatile skill set that prompted Jacksonville to select him in the second round of the 2020 draft, consistently making men miss in the open field.
