Impact Fournette plunged in from two yards to give the Buccaneers the lead during the second quarter. Despite that effort, which marked Fournette's third touchdown of the season, the tailback's performance was marred by him dropping his first three targets of the night. While those miscues didn't prevent him from playing over teammate Ronald Jones -- who finished with just 24 scrimmage yards on 10 touches -- in the late stages of Monday's contest, Fournette still left some production to be had in the passing game. He'll aim for an improved and more complete showing in Week 12 versus the Chiefs.

Impact Fournette took a clear back seat to Ronald Jones in the ground attack despite the latter's first-quarter fumble, leading to a pedestrian fantasy day overall. Fournette had logged double-digit carries in Weeks 7 and 8, but he was limited to just one rush attempt against the Saints in Week 9 and then struggled to do much with his boost in workload Sunday. As such, the fourth-year pro is now averaging a career-low 4.1 yards per carry on the ground, and with Jones having exploded for a career-best 192 rushing yards against Carolina, it's likely Fournette remains stuck in a complementary role against the tough Rams defense in Week 11.

Impact Tampa Bay was forced to adopt a pass-only offensive scheme after going down by five scores in the first half. Both Fournette and starter Ronald Jones combined for just four carries, with the former making a bigger impact in the passing game. It's hard to extrapolate anything from a blowout of this proportion, but it appeared that Fournette was beginning to be deployed in a more consistent role that split the rushing workload a little more evenly than we saw at the beginning of the year. Jones' fantasy managers may not like to hear it, but Fournette could become a reliable flex play if he gets back to double-digit carries (as he saw in the two games prior to Week 9) against the Panthers on Sunday.

Impact Fournette led the Buccaneers' backfield in touches after fellow tailback Ronald Jones lost a fumble on the team's second offensive possession. Compared to Jones' seven carries for 23 yards and four grabs for 23 more, Fournette used his volume to top 70 scrimmage yards for the second straight game. While that production should bode well for him going forward, it'll still be interesting to see how Tampa Bay's backfield reps are divided in Week 9 versus New Orleans.
