Jettisoned by G-Men The Giants waived Lingard on Sunday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Impact Lingard signed with the Giants on Aug. 12 after being let go by the Jaguars in early August. He rushed for 13 yards on two carries in the Giants' second preseason game against the Texans, but he did not record a carry in Saturday's contest against the Jets. Lingard will be on the lookout for new opportunities should he clear waivers.

Signs with Giants The Giants signed Lingard on Monday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Impact Lingard will head to New York after being waived by the Jaguars earlier this month. The rookie undrafted free agent will now spend the remainder of the summer competing for a roster spot as a backup running back.

Let go by Jacksonville The Jaguars waived Lingard on Saturday.

Impact Lingard signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in April. He spent OTAs and minicamp practicing with the team, but he will be on the lookout for another opportunity should he clear waivers. Lingard played in 12 games in his final season in Akron, rushing for 641 yards and four touchdowns on 143 carries.
