INJURIES

Chance to play vs. Denver Van Ness (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Van Ness has missed seven of the Packers' last eight games due to a foot injury, but he has a chance to return Sunday after logging a full week of limited practices. If he's given the green light to return, he would operate in a rotational role at defensive end behind starters Rashan Gary and Micah Parsons.

Back at practice Wednesday Van Ness (foot) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
Impact Van Ness had not practiced at all since aggravating a nagging foot injury in Week 12 versus the Vikings, so Wednesday marked a big step towards getting back into game action. He'll still probably need to manage a full practice Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

NFC North-leading Packers will face major challenges in back-to-back road games

Jordan Love realizes the Green Bay Packers can’t afford to get complacent now that they have regained first place in the NFC North
5 DAYS AGO • Associated Press
Won't play Week 14 Van Ness (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bears, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Van Ness aggravated a foot injury during the Packers' Week 12 win over the Vikings. He has been unable to practice since the aggravation, so he'll aim to return to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of the Packers' Week 15 clash against the Broncos on Sunday, Dec. 14. Kingsley Enagbare should continue to see more rotational snaps at defensive end behind Rashan Gary and Micah Parsons for as long as Van Ness is sidelined.
DECEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Still not practicing Van Ness (foot) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
Impact Van Ness missed last week's win over the Lions and was spotted in a walking boot Monday, signaling that he may not be that close to returning to action. It would be a positive signal if he could return to the practice field in a limited fashion this week. If he's unable to play again, Kingsley Engabare should handle extra reps in this Sunday's divisional clash versus the Bears.

Ben Johnson gets his first chance as Bears coach to beat Matt LaFleur 'twice a year'

Ben Johnson gets his first chance as Chicago's coach to beat Green Bay's Matt LaFleur “twice a year.”
DECEMBER 2 • Associated Press
Return may not be imminent Van Ness (foot) was spotted in a walking boot Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Van Ness has been hampered by a foot injury for much of the season and attempted a return in Week 12 against the Vikings. However, he managed only six defensive snaps in that game and was inactive for Week 13. In comments to the media, Van Ness said that he's focused on rehab, so it sounds as if he could be in for at least one more absence in Week 14 against the Bears.
DECEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Ruled out to face Lions Van Ness (foot) did not practice Wednesday and is ruled out for Thursday's game against Detroit, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site.
Impact Van Ness returned from a five-game absence and took the field Week 12 versus the Vikings, but he played only six defensive snaps and appears to have aggravated the injury. He didn't practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for Thursday's divisional contest, and coach Matt LaFleur said Van Ness is "day-to-day." His next opportunity to suit up will come Sunday, Dec. 7 against the Bears in Week 14.
NOVEMBER 26 • ROTOWIRE
Estimated as DNP on Monday Van Ness (foot) was listed as DNP on Monday's estimated practice report, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Van Ness missed five straight games with a foot injury prior to returning to the lineup Sunday against the Vikings. Van Ness, however, played a season-low six defensive snaps against Minnesota and may have aggravated the injury.
NOVEMBER 24 • ROTOWIRE
Good to go Sunday Van Ness (foot) is active for Sunday's matchup with the Vikings, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact The edge rusher entered the day with a questionable tag after practicing on a limited basis throughout the week. Van Ness last played in Week 6, though he was on the field for 45 percent of the defensive snaps or more in each of Green Bay's first four games of 2025. His usage may not match that number in his first game back.

Packers' Josh Jacobs inactive against Vikings because of left knee injury

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs will miss Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings as he recovers from a bruised left knee
NOVEMBER 23 • Associated Press
Could be back in action Sunday Van Ness (foot) remains listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, but the Packers are hopeful that he'll be available to play for the first time since Week 6, J...
Impact A limited practice participant through the week, Van Ness is slated to go through a pregame workout Sunday before the Packers decide whether he'll be able to put an end to a five-game absence. Even if he ultimately avoids the inactive list and is cleared ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, Van Ness could be in line for limited snaps as part of Green Bay's edge-rusher rotation. Through five appearances on the season, the 2023 first-round selection has tallied 11 stops and 1.5 sacks.
NOVEMBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
Packers finally get the positive Josh Jacobs, Lukas Van Ness injury news they needed The Green Bay Packers provided some positive injury updates ahead of their game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.
NOVEMBER 21 • LOMBARDIAVE.COM
Registers another limited practice Van Ness (foot) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
Impact Van Ness hasn't played since injuring his right foot against Cincinnati in Week 6. He resumed practicing (in limited fashion) last Thursday, and he's now been limited in four consecutive sessions. That gives Van Ness a chance of returning Sunday versus the Vikings, though he'll likely carry an injury designation into the weekend unless he's able to practice in full Friday.
NOVEMBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Remains limited by foot injury Van Ness (foot) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Impact Van Ness has missed five straight games with the foot injury. Dating back to last week, he's now logged three consecutive limited practices, so he's at least trending toward a return.
NOVEMBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Not suiting up Week 11 Van Ness (foot) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Giants, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Van Ness was able to log a limited practice both Thursday and Friday, but that won't be enough for him to return to action just yet. Instead, the third-year defensive end will sit out a fifth straight game. Kingsley Enagbare should continue to work in a key rotational role with Van Ness sidelined again.

Questionable for Sunday Van Ness (foot) is listed as questionable for for Sunday's game against the Giants, Wes Hodklewlcz of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Van Ness ended the week with back-to-back limited practices, and the consistency in participation likely means he is trending up ahead of Sunday's contest. If the 2023 first-rounder is unable to suit up this week, Kingsley Enagbare will likely continue to acquire the lion's share of rotational defensive end reps for the Packers' defense.

Packers list three questionable vs. New York Giants | Week 11 Injury Report DL Lukas Van Ness, WR Matthew Golden questionable for Sunday
NOVEMBER 14 • PACKERS.COM
Limited in practice Thursday Van Ness (foot) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Impact Van Ness logs his first practice in any capacity since he left the Packers' Week 6 win against the Bengals with a foot injury. The upgrade to limited participation signals a significant development in the defensive ends recovery and if he is able to string practices together he may have a chance to suit up for Sunday's game against the Giants. If possible, the return of Van Ness would lead to diminishing number of reps for rotational defensive end Kingsley Enagbare (knee).
NOVEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
DNP on Wednesday Van Ness (foot) did not practice Wednesday.
Impact Van Ness has missed four straight games and has yet to return to practice. Kingsley Enagbare (knee) has been seeing increased reps behind Rashan Gary and Micah Parsons (pectoral) off the edge for Green Bay during Van Ness' absence.
