Starts over Gaskin Brown got the start in Saturday's preseason loss to Chicago, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports. Impact The Dolphins played nearly all of their healthy starters, including RBs Myles Gaskin. The question now is whether Gaskin is even a starter, considering Brown got most of the snaps and carries with the first-team offense Saturday afternoon. Granted, the former Ram wasn't exactly effective, taking nine carries for eight yards and one catch for seven yards. Brown got all his work while starting QB Tua Tagovailoa was still in the game, with Gaskin subbing in for the first unit and then splitting snaps with Salvon Ahmed on the second-string offense. Brown's NFL track record and one-year, $1.75 million contract don't exactly scream starter, but he could perhaps win that role if the Dolphins are feeling iffy about Gaskin. All eyes on Miami's backfield for an Aug. 21 preseason game against Atlanta.
