With Breida taking in the contest from the sideline, Devin Singletary and Zack Moss will split the running back work, while Taiwan Jones (hamstring) operates on special teams.

Impact Breida was given a surprise nod over Zack Moss in the Bils' opener. He didn't do much with the opportunity (four yards on four carries) and wasn't given the ball in Week 2. He's now been made inactive the last two games, meaning his value is shot unless something happens to Moss or Devin Singletary.

In that scenario Breida would likely serve as a change-of-pace runner behind the slower but arguably steadier duo of Zack Moss and Devin Singletary.

Impact Breida watched Devin Singletary tear up Detroit's run defense for 42 yards on eight carries and a receiving touchdown, but Buffalo's third-stringer only managed 2.7 yards per carry himself. With Zack Moss sidelined by a hamstring injury, Breida should continue to work as the No. 2 option behind Singletary in the short term, though Moss's injury is not considered serious at this time.

Impact Devin Singletary and Zack Moss are expected to serve as the 1-2 punch to lead the backfield, while Taiwan Jones is expected to make the team simply by way of special teams prowess. Breida is one of the NFL's fastest running backs and has more experience than Williams and Wade, so the No. 3 job would appear to be his to lose. Breida also has more special teams experience than anyone else in the running back corps aside from Jones. With good hands to go with it all, Breida is at least worth keeping an eye on if he does make the team and injuries should strike Singletary or Moss, as was the case last season.
