Sticking with Rams Gay signed his restricted free agent tender with the Rams on Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact Gay received an original-round tender from the Rams, and he'll enter his third campaign with the team in 2022. He's been excellent across the last two seasons, combining to hit 46 of his 50 field-goal attempts and 64 of his 65 extra-point attempts.

Tendered by Rams Gay, a restricted free agent, received an original-round tender from the Rams on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Impact The Rams will now have the chance to match any offer sheet from another team, and Los Angeles would receive a fifth-round pick should it decide not to match. Gay was one of the top kickers in the game in 2021, as he made 32 of 34 field-goal attempts and went 48-for-49 on PATs.

Doesn't miss in Super Bowl victory Gay connected on his only field-goal attempt and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
Impact Gay's only field goal was a 41-yard kick to cut the Bengals' lead to 20-16 halfway through the third quarter. While the 28-year-old kicker was perfect on the night, the kicking unit was not, as holder Johnny Hekker fumbled a snap during an extra-point attempt after the Rams' second touchdown of the game. On the season, Gay connected on 32 of his 34 field goals and 48 of his 49 PATs en route to the best campaign of his three-year career. He's set to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but the Rams likely want him back in 2022.
