Scores twice in win Gordon carried the ball 10 times for 47 yards and a touchdown and caught all three of his targets for 15 yards and a second TD in Sunday's 17-10 win over Washington.
Impact The former Charger once again split the backfield workload fairly evenly with rookie Javonte Williams, but Gordon was the one to cash in when Denver got into the red zone, catching a 15-yard TD pass late in the second quarter and running it in from seven yards out for what proved to be the winning score early in the fourth. Gordon hasn't topped 81 scrimmage yards in a game since Week 1, but he has five total touchdowns (three rushing, two receiving) on the season heading into a Week 9 clash with the Cowboys.

Impact Gordon's 2.3 yards per carry average underscores how tough the sledding was against Cleveland's stingy run defense, but the veteran back still gave fantasy managers some consolation with his eight-yard scoring grab midway through the third quarter. Gordon doubled up Javonte Williams in carries, but the eight rushing touches still qualified as his lowest total in that category this season. The Broncos will likely try to run a more balanced attack in a Week 8 home matchup versus Washington a week from Sunday.

Impact During Week 6 prep, Gordon kicked it off as a non-participant and capped it with back-to-back limited sessions, so he appears to be in better shape as the Broncos prepare for Thursday's visit to Cleveland. On the season, Gordon has received at least 50 percent of the offensive snaps and earned 11-plus touches in all six contests, ultimately averaging 13.8 touches for 75.2 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring two TDs on the ground.

Limited on practice estimate Denver lists Gordon (hip) as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact For the second week in a row, Gordon is appearing on the Broncos' practice report with a hip issue after rib and lower leg injuries previously cost him practice time in late September and early October. Gordon ended up carrying a questionable designation into Sunday's 34-24 loss to the Raiders, but he saw a normal snap share (53 percent) and averaged a healthy 5.0 yards per carry on 10 totes while adding three receptions for 23 yards. Because he's at least opening Week 7 as a limited participant on the Broncos' report, Gordon will more than likely be ready to play Thursday in Cleveland, though it's possible he once again takes a designation into the contest.

Splits backfield work again Gordon ran for 50 yards on 10 carries against Las Vegas on Sunday, adding three receptions for 23 yards on three targets.
Impact Like nearly every game this year, Gordon split the Denver backfield functions almost 50-50 with rookie second-round pick Javonte Williams, who produced 53 yards on 11 carries and three receptions for 15 yards on three targets. Each big play by either back seems promptly answered with a matching effort by the other, and that's been great for the Denver offense. It's frustrating for fantasy investors, of course, and as long as both players hold serve it will be difficult for the other to get ahead. It's a formula that generally leaves Gordon touchdown-dependent for fantasy viability, and there were no such opportunities Sunday with the Broncos trailing Las Vegas all game. Perhaps Gordon can find the end zone again in Week 7, but playing on the road against Cleveland could be a challenging venue.
