Malcolm Brown - Goes on IR The Dolphins placed Brown (quadriceps) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Impact As expected, Brown will head to IR and miss the Dolphins' next three games after sustaining the quad injury in Sunday's 30-28 loss to the Falcons. With Brown out of the mix, Miami is left with Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed as its lone healthy running backs. Expect the Dolphins to elevate at least one of Patrick Laird, Duke Johnson or Gerrid Doaks from the practice squad ahead of the team's Week 8 game in Buffalo to provide a third option behind Gaskin and Ahmed.

Impact Rowe only had four combined tackles in his previous two games, but he bounced back nicely versus Matt Ryan and the Falcons. The veteran played less than 30 percent of defensive snaps Weeks 6 and 7, but versus Atlanta he was back on the field 70 percent of the time. With Jason McCourty (foot) expected to require surgery, Rowe could handle an expanded role for the foreseeable future.
