Impact He tied Amari Cooper for the team lead in targets and catches on the afternoon, but while Cooper saw use as a downfield threat, Gallup's primary role was moving the chains. The third-year wideout's volume continues to trend up, as Gallup's seen 32 targets over the last four games, but it's resulted in only a meager 18-167-0 line. He's unlikely to break out in Week 13's tough matchup on the road against the Ravens.

Impact With Andy Dalton back under center, the Cowboys' passing game was a little more potent, but Gallup still found himself taking a back seat to Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb. Gallup's numbers are down across the board this season, and things might not get any easier for him in Week 12 as Dallas faces a stingy Washington secondary on Thanksgiving.

Impact Another week, another quarterback for the Cowboys. Gallup enjoyed a season-high 12 targets with Ben DiNucci under center last week, but he handled a more modest target share Sunday with Garrett Gilbert, tying CeeDee Lamb and Dalton Schultz for the team high in the category. Most of Gallup's production came from a 20-yard reception on the Cowboys' final drive when the Steelers forfeited short throws to protect against big plays. Andy Dalton (concussion) may be back following the Week 10 bye, and while there's no reason to think that alone will change Gallup's fortunes, a Week 11 matchup against the Vikings is quite intriguing.

Impact Gallup led all Cowboys in terms of receiving production after being held without a catch against the Football Team last week. While this was a step in the right direction for the talented wideout, it was clear that rookie third-string quarterback Ben DiNucci will not be a Cinderella story (52 percent completion percentage for 180 yards and no touchdowns). There is a chance Andy Dalton (concussion) could return for next week's tilt against the Steelers, and while the veteran is an upgrade over Dallas' current quarterback, a shoddy offensive line may not let this passing attack get anything going against a stout Pittsburgh defense in Week 9.

Gallup's reception tally tied for his lowest of the season, while his yardage was a low-water mark for him in 2020. He also dropped a would-be touchdown at the end of the first half, forcing Dallas to settle for a field goal. Gallup has now been under 30 receiving yards twice in the last three contests, but the target count Monday night was actually his second highest of the season, which is a silver lining considering it came in Andy Dalton's first game as starter. The duo will look to connect on a more efficient basis in a Week 7 divisional battle versus the Washington Football Team.

Impact Once again, Gallup saw few looks from Dak Prescott early in the game as the quarterback showed great chemistry with rookie CeeDee Lamb. However, after Prescott was carted off the field with a likely season-ending ankle injury, Gallup found himself on the end of completions of 19 and 38 yards from Andy Dalton to set up the game-winning field goal. Gallup had often been the forgotten man in the Dallas passing game through the early part of the year, but the unfortunate switch at QB could prove to be a boon for his numbers. Dalton's tendencies should become clearer beginning in Week 6's clash with the Cardinals.
