Gets futures deal with Washington The Commanders signed Wiley to a reserve/future contract Thursday.

Impact Wiley spent time on Washington's practice squad during the 2024 campaign, though the undrafted rookie didn't ultimately suit up for a single regular-season or playoff game with the team. Now, Wiley will get a chance to continue his development with the Commanders for a second consecutive offseason.

Joins Washington's taxi squad Wiley signed with the Commanders' practice squad Wednesday.

Impact Wiley signed with Washington in April as an undrafted free agent. The Arizona product missed OTAs due to a thumb injury he sustained during the Senior Bowl, but he was able to participate in training camp. Across three preseason games, Wiley turned 17 carries into 67 yards and two touchdowns while adding six catches for 37 yards. Wiley will begin the 2024 season on the Commanders' taxi squad, and he could be elevated to the active roster should Brian Robinson, Austin Ekeler or Jeremy McNichols miss time.

Cut loose from team Wiley was waived by the Commanders on Tuesday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

Impact Wiley missed time in the spring due to a thumb injury after singing with Washington as an undrafted free agent. However, the Arizona product was healthy by training camp, but couldn't lockdown a role in the team's offense for the 2024 campaign.
