Impact For most of the afternoon, a matchup that has traditionally frustrated Evans throughout his career was playing out as usual, with star cornerback Marshon Lattimore doing a good job nullifying the star wideout. However, Evans got a rare taste of success against his old nemesis when he beat Lattimore on a corner route late in the third quarter for a 41-yard touchdown grab that he recorded despite the veteran corner getting flagged for pass interference on the play. It was an otherwise quiet contest for the eighth-year wideout, but the touchdown was his sixth of the last four games. Evans will rest up during the Week 9 bye before getting a crack at the vulnerable Washington secondary on the road Week 10.
