Gabriel Murphy - Won't return Sunday Head coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters Friday that Murphy (knee) won't play in Sunday's matchup against the Titans, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Impact The UCLA product practiced in full Thursday and Friday after being designated to return from injured reserve Nov. 6. However, O'Connell's comments Friday suggest he's not ready for in-game action just yet. Murphy's next chance to take the field will come in Week 12, when the Vikings travel to Chicago. He must still be activated to Minnesota's active roster in order to suit up next week.

Impact Van Ginkel opened the Vikings' week of practice with consecutive limited sessions, but he upgraded to a full workload Friday, suggesting he's moved past his hip injury in time for Sunday's matchup. Impact Oliver had his practice reps capped Wednesday and Thursday, but he has the green light to suit up Sunday. T.J. Hockenson is Minnesota's best pass catching tight end, but Oliver has racked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown over the last two games while contributing in a blocking capacity as well.

Impact His availability isn't much of a surprise given that the returned to last week's 12-7 win at Jacksonville after the suffering the injury, taking four carries for 17 yards over the Vikings' final two drives. Jones will continue leading the Minnesota backfield, with Cam Akers subbing in for carries here and there.

Impact Oliver has had his reps capped in both of the Vikings' first two Week 11 practices, so he may need to put a full workout Friday to avoid taking a designation into Sunday's game against the Titans. Though he's played north of 50 percent of the Vikings' offensive snaps in each of the past eight games and has cleared 50 receiving yards in the last two contests, Oliver could see his role scaled back a bit if he's available Sunday. Top tight end T.J. Hockenson has suited up in the last two games after being activated from the PUP list, and he should be ready to handle more playing time Week 11 after he was eased back in with 45 and 46 percent snap shares in his first two outings of 2024.
